Now if COW had implemented the “magnetic” forum it would have just pulled up all the posts.
. . . unless of course you did shift delete and then there’d be a Gap post.
It’s clear though that I’m adding a Secondary Storyline though. -
I thought I had an audition with all the relevant posts in it, but alas, I failed myself.
I should have used the position tool and been done with it.
Looks like I forgot to hit favorite after selecting the relevant range, but before moving not to the next clip.
Live and learn, I guess.

Teritiary storyline…
The winner in all this new NLE is the editor, for awhile at least. It was getting where every producer has FCP 6 or 7 on their laptop and they had practically edited the whole show before bringing it to me to “polish it up.” And it was often a bit of a mess. I would miss the logging and getting to know the project so I could make intelligent decisions about shots/scenes. But it’s corporate video anyway.
Now the producers won’t be learning Smoke, Premiere, or Avid any time soon. And even X is cheap, but they made it pretty intimidating for all the FCP 7 using clients out there. 🙂

Holy cow.
I never thought of this.
If X is inherently “unusable” for pro work – then mere client’s will never be able to operate it and it’ll save legions of “pro” jobs!
This might be a path to real “stealth success” of X.
Job security for anyone who transitions to it! Cuz if a “real” editor can’t wrap their brains around “magnetism” what chance does a poor civilian button-pusher client have?
