When ever i have a clip layered over another clip it deletes both clips when i try to delete the bottom one -_- … you’ll understand what I’m saying when you look at the pictures!

Press Shift-delete to replace the clip with a gap clip.

If you need to drag it use the Position tool. Or use Opt-Cmd-down arrow to Overwrite to Primary Storyline.

You could have skipped the first step. Just Opt-Cmd-down arrow would have overwritten the clip that was on the primary storyline. The audio would have been pushed down as a connected clip, but all you would have to do is select it and delete it.

    All the best,

    Very last question . I hope !
When ever i drag a transition to put between two clips it shifts all of the other clips how can i avoid that?

Make sure you have enough handles to create the transition overlap before you edit the clip into the timeline. If you don’t the application will have to trim the clips to make the overlap.

I would suggest you spend some time learning the basic of editing and the application.

    All the best,
