Ripple delete stacked clips
OK, brain fade or I’m missing something. I have 4 stacked clips (primary + 3 connected). I want to do a ripple delete across all clips – video + audio. Old way would be mark in/out, ripple delete. What’s the new way? Right now I’m not finding it and neither the magnetic timeline nor position mode is helping the situation. TIA.

Select primary and hit delete.
Unless I’m missing what you’re trying to do.

That only deletes that portion of the primary. Not across all clips.

Think of a quad split. 4 stacked clips of equal duration. I want to simply take 1 sec. out of the middle. (No, I don’t want to use compound clips.) This is a piece of cake in any NLE.

Skim to in point, command b, skim to out point, command b, delete middle primary.
Or compound, range, delete, break apart.

Nope. Doesn’t work. It’s only extracting the middle of the primary, not all 4 clips.
