  Hi,

  I am trying to export a 1080p 60fps video out of final cut, and every time i export whether using fcpx or compressor, my video lags. In both quicktime player and once it is on youtube, my video is lagging by just about a second. I have tried every way to export. I was told to match my frame rate of the file to the export, and that still didnt work. I am really hoping that someone has an answer for me.

  1080p 60fps is a non-standard format. Even for the web. I doubt YouTube goes above 30fps. The point for SHOOTING 1080p60 is to shoot for slow motion…slow the footage down to 30fps or 24fps. The only playback format that is standard at 60fps is 720p, and even then, I don’t think YouTube does 60fps.

  Sorry for being a bother, but this is how it is. FCPX says that my project is 1280×1080 at 60p, and it says that each individual clip is 1280×720 at 59.94 fps. I honestly and truthfully have no idea where to go from here. The project looks beautiful in final cut, and i want to know exactly how to get it out of final cut looking the same way. Sorry this is all just so confusing to me. Thanks.

  I shouldn’t have even spoken up, as I have no clue how to use FCX. I do know that your footage is 1280×720…meaning that it is 720p at 60fps…which is a standard normal format. But your sequence settings are odd…1280×1080 at 60fps? 1280×1080 is DVCPRO HD’s 1080 recording format, but DVCPRO HD at 1080 doesn’t do 60fps…so how you ended up with that, is odd.

  I’ll let someone else handle this.
