  Tracking an isolated spot blur

  Good afternoon. Im trying to figure out how to blurr a face or a part of the edit out. For example if my edit includes a license plate that we dont want to be seen but need the footage, how do you blurr out the license plate in final cut pro, the same for a person’s face. Can someone help me with that?

  isn’t there a build in filter and an a technic for this in FCPX?

  Yes, there is – it’s in the effects menu and called “Censor”. Brendan’s version is more useful however.
