  720 x 480 anamorphic video in FCP X

  I shot some 720 x 480 anamorphic video and when I place it on the timeline the image the anamorphic image is still squashed. In FCP7 I always got a message asking me if I wanted the footage and the timeline to match. I found the Spatial Conform property but all you have for options are Fit, Fill or None. Is there some other way to do this?

  Definitely seems like the functionality is almost there, either everyone is missing something or Apple hasn’t included it yet.

  For now you might have to run it through compressor or something to flag it as anamorphic.
