  Graphics in Final Cut Express

  I’m creating a video for a client that’s graphic heavy. I’ve created each graphic in Illustrator CS5 at 1000 x 1000. When I import all the files into Final Cut they look great! It’s after I export to QT that they loose a lot of quality and become so blurry that you can’t read them. I’ve tried saving them as a different resolution (higher and lower then 1000 x 1000). The only thing I can think of is the compression when I export. Any help?

  Weird. So what format did you save the files out of Illustrator? Also what format/settings are you using for the media export? What is the resolution of your project? SD, HD?

  BTW. I just did a project like this last week (in fact have another one today) 720p and I have been saving out of Photoshop as a PSD and PNG with alpha channel and it has been working well. Posting proofs to YouTube/Vimeo without a problem.

  I just reread your title of your post and you mentioned Final Cut Express. Did you mean that or FCP X? I just assumed because this is a FCP X forum.

  I don’t know if FCPX supports Ilustrator files.
  FCP and FCPE doesn’t.
  Convert that to Photoshop files, then in Photoshop to PNG, TIFF, TGA or any other Bit map file.
