Synching Clips – Anyway To Change Which One Appears On Top?
Trying to come up with a workaround for multi-cam. Synching automatically is great but there doesn’t seem to be a way of choosing which is the primary clip (i.e. which one appears on top when “breaking apart clip items”.
Compounding my multi-cam workaround frustrations is the blade tool…
I’ve come from Sony Vegas where I could just press S as often as I wanted to split the track during playback, without interfering with playback. In FCP X it seems the only equivalent is to follow the playhead with my blade cursor and click when I want to split. It’s made doubly difficult because when the playhead reaches the far right of my screen it disappears rather than automatically shifting the horizontal scroll bar to reveal footage hidden to the right.
If anyone has a half-efficient workflow for a 2-cam edit a point in the right direction would be much appreciated!
