“BG On the Straight and Narrow”
This is an FCP X effect preset. This enables you to quickly deal with digital photos by helping to straighten and resize them.
FCP X Effect: BG On the Straight and Narrow
Having dealt with a number of still photos recently, I made this to help simplify my workflow.
– One slider to rule them all – Adjust rotation and increase scale to compensate.
– Optional onscreen vertical and horizontal guides to help visualise rotation difference.
– Choose a different guide colour if it clashes with picture content
– Simple sharpness operation to help compensate with any detail loss due to scaling
– Unsharp mask control to help define contrast between pixels of different colours
Remember to switch off alignment guides after using them for reference.
