  playhead location after W-inserts?

  I”m just assemble editing clips back to back on the timeline, however, the playhead appears before the clip that I have just inserted on the timeline via the “w” key. How can i adjust the timeline so that the playhead appears after each edit? that will enable me to haver a smoother, more efficient editing workflow than having to always go to the timeline and move the playhead at the end of the previously inserted clip in order to “w” insert my next clip.

  In your FCP X Preferences window > Editing tab you’ll an checkbox option for “Position playhead after edit operation” … you need to make sure that box is checked, then it should work.
