  Custom Audio-only and Video-only transitions?

  I’m assuming that if a custom audio-only or video-only cross dissolve transition could have been created in Motion it would have by now.

  The Cross Dissolve transition appears to be an FX Plug. Is there any reason why someone with the programming expertise could not create a third-party audio-only and video-only cross dissolve?

  Or does the nature of how FCPX handles things preclude this at this time?

  The great Alex Gollner has already written an audio only cross dissolve Effect – search for this on this forum.
