adding lights to project like this ad
shilo has a mike vick nike ad on their featured works section. I am trying to make a poor mans version of the stadium lights about half way through the ad. Does anyone have a good idea or way to do this in AE? I have shine if that is the best way to do it. I guess i could make the post in Illustrator ans add light in AE. Am i on the right track? Thanks in advance.

Short answer yes thats one way. Things to keep in mine: Make the post appear to be 3d by using ramps and or mesh color gradients, and create fixtures for the lights. The light banks will need to have shine placed at the center of each bulb in the bank. You could also use Lux, if you have that, and place ae comp lights as the . . . well the lights.
