  after effects crashing a lot

  I have been doing a lil project for myself and…….it unexceptionally quits, im loosing my mind G6 quad 27 g of mem why Please is there a reason or a magic button

  check preferences>previews and make sure that the opengl option is disabled (unchecked) and set the accelerate effects to use adaptive resolution. opengl is a common source of instability in ae.

  if that doesn’t help, leave more specifics about your system and the crash (ae version, os version, 32 or 64-bit os, when the crash happens.. like applying an effect, rendering, importing a file, opening the program… etc.).
