Hmmmmm. The Application Manager doesn’t like me! Tell’s me to “go to the avid store” and buy the upgrade… but I already did that! How could I have gotten to 8.2 if I didn’t buy the upgrade?
After scanning other boards, it appears that I’m not the only one encountering “friction” with this upgrade.

I downloaded from the Download Center and installed the old fashioned way. I’m on 10.9.5.

Must say im pretty impressed!
Multicam is back in working order.
Trimming is good with Blackmagic hardware (driver 9.9.3). Caps Lock/Scrub is tight and responsive.
I tried the 4K workflows out. My I7 Imac was playing back AMA’d 4kRED clips in proxy 1/16 with no problem.
Transcoded to DNxHR HQ and it played back no proxy Full Quality with no lag! Didnt think i’d ever get native (to avid) 4K playback on this thing at decent quality. Pretty impressed I have to say. The Proxy implementation is pretty effin slick. LUTs as FX on the timeline is sweet!
New Bin search/find/sorting thing is really cool.
App feels pretty snappy and responsive overall in compared to the last couple version. Background Service’s running right, etc. I think Avid might have just come thru in the nick of time. Cant wait to try it on a computer with some juice!

I was running 8.2, now running 8.3. I did the update through the Application manager. But I did have to deactivate and reactivate after I installed.

I spoke to AVID tech yesterday. They said there is a glitch in Application Manager. I got the same message, no active license. I had to go to the web page, log in and download. No need to deactivate reactivate here.

I’ve seen conflicting info from Avid. Some folks are getting the App Mgr to update, but I have also been told this doesn’t start working until 8.3 onward. Might be an OS version issue, as well.
When I installed (the old way) I had to de-activate/re-activate for the licensing to work correctly.
