    Re-upped on the trial and updated to Pro Video 2.0 to access MXF.

    Importing MXF files from AvidMediaFiles folder…. results in all the atomised clips (i.e there are 8 audio track clips per video clip).

    I guess there is no easy way to group/merge these correctly?

    Not directly with FCPX. You’d need an interchange FCPXML to be able to join the clips on import.

    There’s an app called “Atomic Fusion” that will join the atoms, and send it to FCP 7: https://hamburgpromedia.com/products/mxf4mac/applications/atomic-fusion.php

    but it was not updated for FCPX.

    That’s essentially the difference between Op1A and OPAtom. OpAtom has separate audio. That’s what Avid uses.
