    Hi everyone :=)

    I got a pretty basic question and i looked through several tutorials but cant seem to find the “how-to” for this issue, probably because its so basic. I have a JPEG image imported into AE and i want to add lets say the glow effect to only a specific place of that image. The effect always seems to land over the whole image which is not what i want. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Create a new solid above the image, draw a mask on the solid to designate the area you want affected, then make the solid layer an adjustment layer.
