  add still to comp for total crash

  Hi – Help! My After Effects CS3 has started to crash the computer when I put a still in a composition, it doesn’t matter if it’s Jpeg, Targa of Tiff, and however I do it, by dragging the still to make new comp or by dragging it into the timeline, it locks up the computer so I have to hit the restart button. I can even sit on control alt delete for a minute and get nothing.
  It started doing this last week, before that it was fine.
  Any ideas???

  I have sorted this problem out, it was the software which came with the trackball mouse, Logitech, once I’d uninstalled this, the problem went away. Strange, the rest of AE seemed fine.
