  Text Rendering

  im trying to render text in AE CS3 so i can overlay it on a clip in Sony Vegas. everytime i render i get the black composition background with the text. i need the background to be transparent… what render settings need to be changed?

  need a montage edited? hit me up.

  When you render it out, you need to render it for an Alpha Channel. Send it to the Render Queue (not File – export movie). On the output module set it to Animation +, the ‘+’ sign will make it an Alpha Channel. You should lose the black background.

  i still gave me the black background. i put it in the render queue by pressing ctrl-shift-/ then i went to output module and clicked on quicktime. then i went to format options. clicked the drop down to animation. then selected millions of colors+ under the depth option. then i rendered it. and it still came up with the black screen…
