I’m sure I can do this but I’ve just wasted ages trying, let me try to explain. I have a circular mask which I have copied and pasted to the position of a small image, the image now moves along the path, however I need ten images on the path, spaced out so all of them follow the path, obviously when I paste the position key frames from the first to the second image they are in the same postion and I want the second object to start further around the same path … any advice welcome. Many thanks Roger

Ten different images or ten duplicate images?
If they are ten of the same image, you should be able to use echo to offset ten copies in time.
If they are ten different images, you can also shift the in points of the individual layers or you could precompose each and use a time effect (such as time remap, timewarp, etc.) to offset the time for each layer maybe writing an expression that offsets the time based on the index.

You best solution, although, is probably to follow the procedures Maltannon uses in this tutorial:

Thanks Jason – that site has some great stuff on it and Dave thank you – how obvious was that (obviously not obvious to me) – I’ve not been using AE lately (sadly) and the brain has gone a little dead. All have good weekends Roger
