June 10, 2013 at 1:49 pmNo. They live-streamed their event last October, and the WWDC 2012 keynote was streamed too.

June 10, 2013 at 3:12 pm[Mark Dobson] “So do we get to see the new MacPro?
I’d give it 60%”
either way it’ll be 100% chance of moaning afterwards

June 10, 2013 at 3:12 pmYeah. I think the real reason to put any weight behind it is that this even is the ONLY one I could imagine where this product would get any stage time. The iPhone/iPad events in the fall, even if they contain Mac updates- the MacPro is too niche and geeky to spend any time on.
If this is a substantial update, then they’ll want to talk about it. And WWDC is the only venue that makes sense. So even if it’s a pre-announcement, I think now is the time.

June 10, 2013 at 3:18 pmSorry to ask the obvious but would this be the page to actually SEE the live stream?
Honestly I don’t remember them doing recent live video streams. I do remember them uploading the event very shortly after it happened though.

June 10, 2013 at 3:26 pmYeah. The streamed their iPadMini event last October- it was the first time they put the new Apple Events channel up on the AppleTV. And WWDC2012 was as well.

Thanks. If only there was an expansion of available channels. Roku keeps looking very attractive although AirPlay is nice. Certainly opening up AppleTV channel development (HLS as well as Apps) would be a good WWDC topic. How’s that for going off on a tangent.
