  Has anyone seen the new iTunes Coldplay commercials?

  Anyone know how the made these effects? Its very cool. I can see the particle generation, but i was wondering if it was After Effects, or something different. Also I started looking up iTunes commericals and came across, the “Paul Mccartney Dance Tonight” ad, and have the same questions.

  It seems like particle effects from Trapcode Particular. Otherwise it could be pre-matted smoke effects, like the ones Andrew Kramer uses in his Riot Gear package. Otherwise if you’re looking at the swipes that the band members make when moving around, that too is Trapcode Particular at play. Andrew Kramer again is the man with this one, teaching you how to achieve that effect:
