  freezing please help

  hi.

  im new to after effects and iv made a 30 seconds piece but when i go to play it with the little button top right, when it plays and loads up at around 12-13 seconds it freezes (the green bit).what can i do to make it fully load up.

  Dunno if this will help, but make sure you save your project.

  Then close anything you dont need running (instant messangers, itunes, p2p sharing programs anything of the sort that you dont NEED running).

  Then in afterfx go to edit -> purge -> all
  then try previewing it again…

  if this helps, then its likely that either 1. you’re doing too much and don’t have enough memory, or 2. you just plain need more memory.

  forgot 3rd option – your memory/cache settings might need adjusting.. I’d try that before getting more ram (but the more the merrier)
