I am shocked to see that they did not feature all of the editors on Conan

This graph looks interesting for a few reasons

For client-driven edit sessions, the editor used Auditions to quickly cycle through different effects on the same shot. After the video was edited in Final Cut Pro X, it was exported to DaVinci Resolve and Autodesk Smoke on the Mac for color correction, effects, and finishing. “Using Marquis X2Pro, the project was converted to an AAF file for import into Avid Pro Tools for sound mixing.” The project showed @radical.media how well the XML export capability of Final Cut Pro X worked with the rest of its post-production ecosystem for color correction and visual effects.

Conspicuously absent from each profile’s “Gear” sidebar: Mac Pro. Bad omen?

Well I guess some editors KNOW how to use FCPX and others . . . work for Conan. What can you expect with this as your show host

It may mean the replacement is coming soon so they’re not going to promote soon to be EOL gear.

It’s interesting how Radical Media (Evan and friends) mention Smoke for finishing . . . especially when we’re hearing Smoke Mac rumors . . . and some saying an Final Cut tie.

Only if whatever comes next, if anything, isn’t called “Mac Pro”.

Well we know from as far back as the 10.0.1 release that Smoke was getting FCPXML integration, and we also know @radical.media is a beta tester for FCPX from his demo last fall, so probably also for the integration with Smoke and Resolve. Evan is featured on the Smoke NAB teaser page, so it all looks pretty tidy to me.

“Danni Lowinski”???? Are you serious. Me being German, it’s pretty hilarious to see someone use that show as promotion for their stuff. I know most people here won’t get the joke but let’s just say it’s somewhat underachieving compared with Cohen Brothers in previous add campaigns.
What’s next? Resolve used for a re-release of Married with Children?
