Proof Positive of Video Compositing?
Hypothetical question, expert input greatly appreciated.
Suppose we have a video of an object, say a ball, traveling left to right across the sky. The ball moves in every frame, as we would expect. We also have a fire burning down on the ground. The flames and smoke and the entire background only move every other frame.
Is this proof of video compositing?
I say yes, and I think I would have a pretty good idea of how such an effect would come about. But I’d be very curious to get feedback from this forum.

sounds like the flames have been composited in and probably time stretched (slowed down) without using any frame blending … or maybe the flames came from a source with a different frame rate ..
