7toX ranked 9th Top Paid Apps in the App Store.

Just because I like looking at these numbers. Of the top 10 paid apps 7 of them are Apple apps. Of the three that aren’t, Magic Window-Time Lapse Desktop is 7, 7toX is 9 and Angry Birds Seasons at 10.

Sure there’s pent up demand but it may indicate there are a lot FCPX users who are looking to move FCP7 projects into FCPX. I guess it’s a given that these aren’t iMovie and FCE editors (doesn’t work it as there’s no XML).

A cursory look at how 10.0.3 is going over shows
    46 – 5 stars
    10 – 4 stars
    1 – 3 stars
    Nothing Lower

    Interesting is top grossing.
FCPX is number 2 behind Lion.
    Motion number 13
    Compressor number 14
    7toX number 17

In top paid FCPX is 13 which is very high considering the price. It’s right behind Quicken Essentials at 12.

I seem to remember Motion and Compressor being much further down on the lists so it may be that this update is driving Motion and Compressor sales to people who previously purchased on FCPX as it becomes a more viable app. I think the new features and 7toX opened the door to a lot of people moving forward.

That’s tremendous news. I’m really pleased for Greg and Philip.

    All the best,

I’d love to know how many copies are being purchased.

I hope they get great financial benefit for all their hard work.

Of course Apple will get what, 30% of those sales?

I guess that’s the price of doing business.
