Does anyone have help on how to split multiple clips for a shot like this in After Effects? Or just know what the term is called for it?

They do a good job with a thick backround showing through on each frame.

    Thanks,

    Michael

    sorry!

Here it is. They seem to break the footage into frames and different areas. Most of it looks like it was shot just for this effect and kept some of the street scenes tight with the top of the frame. I was not sure if after effects could show the multiple shots at the same time, and divide them with a white background.

The effect is very nice and flows well.

You could just create a white solid as a background layer and then drag 3 clips on top of the white solid and scale them down and place them in position. You could place them so there is a slight gap between them creating the illusion of a thick line separating them. Probably are better ways but that’s the way I can see doing it.
