  Difference Matte Holes

  Hi,

  I have created a difference using two a background taken from the clip and the clip. My subject is a person moving up the stairs in the background. Everything has keyed out properly but my subject has holes/tranparent pieces on him. I am not sure why this happening , but i guess it is due to the difference in lighting in the background.

  Please help as to how I can close out these holes on the subject. I have tried most of the keying effects and matte choker , but nothing seems to work. I am not sure what needs to be done.

  You will most likely need to use masks as holdout regions to keep the holes from appearing. This could be a pain depending on the number and size of the holes.

  Place the footage of your actor at the top of the layer stack (or at least above the footage with holes in it) and use masks to allow this layer to ‘fill’ the holes in the layer below it. As long as you haven’t moved or altered the underlying footage it should line up perfectly.
