  Illustrator issues

  i have after effects and illustrator well i took a picture and opened it in illustrator i used livetrace then i copy and try to paste in after effects it won’t let me i did enable aicb and preserve paths is selected under it . i have illustrator cs2 and after effecs v 7.0 any help would be greatly appreciated

  make sure that you only have the vector data selected (not the picture you traced) when you copy. that may be the problem.

  also make sure you are pasting into a solid in ae… the vector paths from illustrator will need to be pasted as a mask(s) within a solid.
