  Could somebody guide me to a basic tutorial for after effects.

  I’ll guide you to two:

  After Effects 101

  and

  After Effects intro movies

  For the 2nd link, a subscription is required for all of the movies, but several of the initial tutorials are free. I might suggest you pony up $25 for one month and watch them all if you don’t know anything about After Effects yet.

  These tutorials detail about 1% of what After Effects is about but I hope it helps you get started.

  I so much appreciate the help. I have installed after effects professional 7, for a while now. But somehow I am not being able to start the help feature. I did put a post regarding the same. But the help.html is not there in my installation folder. Instead, there is a help.xml and there is no way I am being able to use that. Without the help feature , i am as good as tied in the see of features.

  If any pointers on that will help. Nevertheless thanks again for getting me started.
