I just started using After Effects and I’m loving it. BUUT…..
I got bored and kinda screwed up the workspace, moving things everywhere and stuff until it was a huge mess. I thought I could just go to another workspace setting and then go back to Effects again… no luck
How can I reset the workspace to the default?

    thx

Standard works, I’m trying to get Effects back to normal. Trust me, you don’t want to see it 😛
    I’m using 7 Professional

sorry… i should really read more carefully. did you try window>workkspace>reset ‘effect’? or have you saved over the effect workspace?

i tried to search my computer for some workspaces i created, but i could not find them… i even looked in the ae7 app (i’m on a mac, so i chose show package contents and seached through there, but couldn’t find them). they must get written into a pref file. you could try removing ae pref file (don’t delete it, just move to desktop) then open ae and see what happens.

you could always create a new effects workspace and save that. or just reinstall ae.
