  camera zoom help

  I have a map with newspaper layers placed through out the map. My problem is when i go from a birds eye view of the map and zoom into one of the newspaper layers it seems that the newspaper layer move a little bit across the map. I do not have any key frames set on the layers just on the camera. So why does this happen.

  I’m guessing this is you experiencing parallax (a natural phenomenon) inside the virtual world of After Effects, but I could be wrong. If all of the layers are 3D layers (as it sounds like they are if you’re using a camera) are the newspaper layers close to the map layer in Z-space (depth, do they have a similar Z position value)? Also, just to get our terminology entirely clarified, are you only zooming (animating the zoom value) or dollying/tracking/panning (animating the position/point of interest/rotation values) as well?
