I think Bill Hicks had a few choice words for those in PR 😉

PR and ethics really don’t belong in the same sentence…neither does journalistic integrity and PR…

But hey, I’m just a jaded consumer of shiny new toys where the hype has never lived up to the preached expectations…and PR stands kitty corner to propaganda….so take that with a grain of salt…

Ha! Yeah, frankly I could care less about the ethical questions; most ‘reviews’ are suspect from the git-go (including those that I myself have written in the past!) What I think is most interesting here is that someone with Pogue’s track record of statements over the last week is being used (on video no less!) to tell companies how to properly spin journalists. This week he seems to have forgotten that old chestnut about knowing your audience.

Then again, he has defended himself in the past with the line, and I quote, “I am not a journalist.” He shore ain’t, nor is he an editor!

ah sure lets leave pogue out of it -I actually think he’s a fundamentally decent guy, he’s written up revised positions twice now – the last one is pretty measured, critical of apple ultimately, and is probably the last we’ll hear from him on professional editing systems for some years to come.
