10-year old makes tutorial for FCPX
Stumbled across this video of a 10-year old giving a tutorial on how to use FCPX:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7p-t_5prIELooks like Apple succeeded in simplifying editing for 10-year olds! Maybe the “X” (pronounced “ten”) in FCPX is the minimum aged skill level required to operate FCPX? If only this 10-year old could legally be paid for editing, we could call him a pro!
I know, I’m mocking FCPX by insinuating that the skill level required for FCPX is that of a 10-year old — but isn’t that the selling point that Apple is trying to push??
But all joking aside, I really do have to applaud this young FCPX-user for his insightful tutorial and hope he continues to learn and grow into a professional editor and storyteller! I gotta admit – it IS refreshing to see that FCPX is captivating such a young userbase to explore editing. If this is the trend that Apple is going for — I am all for it! I just wish I was 10 and as excited as this young editor-in-training about FCPX!
By the way – I noticed his use of the “Earthquake” filter from FCPX. Wicked, right? Is that what the kids — I mean Pros – I mean FCPX-users call “cool” these days? Sorry for the confusion, as Apple PR would point out, what’s the difference between “Professional” and “Amateur” and evidently, “10-yr old kids” these days?
Looks like David Pogue from the NYT has met his editorial match!
