    HI John,

I haven’t experienced this. What system are you running? I’ve done a few filters (bad film, etc) along with a generator that was composited multiply (playing in real time mind you).

Would love to help you trouble shoot this…

2.8 Octo with 16 gigs of RAM and a Kona 3 (unused). I’m just going through listing bugs my editor hits. They may not happen to everyone. We had to deliver something so we just wanted to basically cut around the bug. I’ll play some more tomorrow and see if I can recreate it.

John I’m having the exact same issue. I was merely trying to “play around” and get a feel for it. As soon as I applied a filter everything would slow down, as I continued to work everything locked up and it took five minutes just to force quit. I sure hope they get this fixed because Final Cut 7 looks better by the minute. Quick question though. I’m running Final Cut X on the road on my 13″ MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Duo 5GB RAM. I’ve never had any problems with running multiple programs including Final Cut 7, Motion, AE and Photoshop at the same time. I now only have Final Cut X open and having all these issues. I know my computer matches the specs, but I’m wondering if I’ll always have problems running it with this model. Thoughts?

    Hi John,

I am also having problems with the stylized filters, generators and transitions. When i click on some of them they are only a blue screen and if i put them on the timeline they will crash final cut pro x everytime i click on them.

    Have you found a solution?

    Thank you.

Tried removing the filters as above and no go. Then I realized it started happening after installing FX Factory. Uninstalled and now it’s “Sharing” again.

    Hi,
I have the exact same problem also with FCPX 10.0.1.
It happens when I click on a clip that has some Filter applied, with the inspector activated.
It keeps crashing no matter what I do.
When I turn of the inspector everything works.
    What shall I do?
How can I turn of the filters without the inspector?
The filters I have applied are “Vignette” and “Indie Red”

    I am quite desperate.

    someone can help me?

    Thanx in advance

Thomas- are you using the version from the App Store or the free trial version? If it’s the free trial- try deleting and re-downloading. Some folks have reported it’s been more recently updated to fix this issue.

Hi, thank you so much for your answer.
    I’m using the trial version.
    You think that’s why?
    How can that be?

Please get back to me soon as I am loosing so much time in restarting the app every 10 min.

    thanks
