    well it will definetely run….but as far as I know it will not run natively. i.e. it will be emulated and results are pretty average. One would hope that there would be a free upgrade for buyers that have already have ae7.0 but we will have to wait and see.

    also do a search of the archives for macbook and you will find a number of posts addressing this issue…. running bootcamp and XP could be a better solution……

    I’m running AE 6.5 on a Mac Pro 2.66 and it’s really fast. No problems. I imagine it’ll be killer when they do the upgrade. Then again, I upgraded my computer from a Pismo Powerbook so everything feels lightning fast. Almost every app I’ve got is still Rosetta and I’m not having any problems. The ones that are universal are ridiculous, though–like instantaneous. You hit the key, it’s done.

    I am running AE7 under a MBP 17″ (2.16 & 1GB) and while the interface seems to be fairly speedy, the rendering is not very fast.

    Definatly take a read here if your going to be wanting a far more stable experience in after effect on an intel mac
