Does anyone know how the particular effect in the new video by Sheryl Crow was done. I know they use particular but how exactly did they create the movement of the particles to mone in specifice directions, withou it seeming as though it doesn’t have an emitter. This effect happens within the first five to ten seconds of the video. The particles doen’t fade up or are emitted from any singular point that I saw.

    Appreciate any help

You can make the emitter really big (or a layer, if I recall) so the particles appear to come from, like, everywhere. 🙂

To make them stand still, set Emitter>Velocity to 0.
To make a large volume of particles chooce emitter type Box and set Emitter>Size’s to large values.

How do you know the used Trapcode Particular? Is there an article somewhere? I’d love to read it.

There is an article on psyop and the ‘making of,’ but it’s mainly about their use of XSI. But I bet if you email them, Peder, they’d tell you more.
