  Canon eos 550D super slow pan as shown in the video in the link and how to achieve it.

  Hi, i’m new here, in fact i’ve just created an account now to ask this question 🙂

  The video i’ve embedded is an example of how you can shoot with the eos 550D to achieve the ‘film look’ something that I’ve been chasing to do for a while, I feel like a necessary part of the ‘film look’ is how you use the camera itself, how it moves for its audience. In this clip something that struck me as particularly filmic is the ultra slow pans that the camera makes, whether it be upward or to the side, it’s very slow, very controlled and almost unnoticeable.

  My question is, how can I achieve something like this, an ultra slow controlled pan? What equipment might I need? I have a tripod but it’s not brilliant, is this the work of a particularly brilliant tripod?
