  • Can’t export sequence with Canon 70d footage

    Hello,

I use FCP 6 on my Mac, which is running OS 10.7.5.

I have a Canon 60d that works just fine with FCP6.

I just got a Canon 70d. When I try to export a sequence with current settings that has the 70d footage on it, the resulting .mov is a wreck. It looks green, you can’t see anything…but the audio works just fine.

Is there something I need to know about the Canon 70d versus the 60d that I missed?

The only other possibility I can imagine is that there is something wrong with my new SD card. The weird thing is, though, that I can see the footage in the Canvas and browser just fine, so I can’t figure out why the sequence won’t just export.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    I should add this, sorry:

The sequence I am trying to export is in H.264, matching the raw footage from the 70d. I realize FCP doesn’t like to edit in H.264 – but I’m not editing anything, just plopping it and exporting. I’m able to do that just fine with the H.264 from the 60d.

I can’t figure out the difference with the 70d.

    Thanks
