  depth of field affected by

  I’d like to use an old 50mm 1.8 FD lens on my 60D to get shallow DOF. However, i was told that the FD-to-EF lens adapter has a “corrective lens element” that cuts light by 1 f-stop. Since the light reaching the sensor is reduced, will this deepen my DOF?

  It will also at a slight lens multiplier, increasing the focal length slightly.
