Extremely random and total shot in the dark…

Formatted a card today that had Footage A on it, then shot 2 important video clips to create Footage B on the card. Brought the card home, didn’t do anything to it and inserted it to in my card reader. When opening the folders like normal, I see 8 clips from Footage C that were not shot on this particular CF card in the folder. I cannot open or view any of these .mov files, they are just containers.

I’ve run a couple data recovery software on the card, but it is recovering Footage A that was already formatted.

Does anyone, anywhere have a single clue as to what has happened and how I can fix it?

P.S. In the recovery stage, I see the thumbnails of the video that I’m trying to recover – but no video.

    Thanks!
