  Canon 5d Mark II Compressor – DVD looks dark in places

  Hello people

  I really need some help from someone.

  I have the canon 5d mark II and I have made a short film in Final Cut pro for a competition which needs to be burnt to DVD. Upon doing this via dvd studio pro and compressor (using the best quality 90 minutes preset), the dvd looks terribly dark in places. Anything in the shot which was dark in colour e.e.g brown rug, black wall all look really terrible.

  So here’s what I’ve done so far.

  Shot entirely on the canon 5d mark ii using the canon 50mm 1.4 lens.
  Captured in image capture
  dragged footage into final cut and let final cut change the settings for best performance
  very little effects used – mainly colour corrector to lighten a few shots that were darker than others
  A few video co-pilot blood splatters for the final scene

  So then i export directly from final cut using compressor using the preset: DVD best quality 90 minute.

  Then using dvd studio pro, burnt the dvd.

  Can anyone offer me some advice on how to correct this. It is only a 5min dvd on a single layer disc so as you can imagine, it takes up hardly any room. Is there perhaps any way to adjust some settings in compressor to bring as much quality over to the disc as possible. I am very new to compressor and final cut so please be gentle lol!
