  image shifting in viewfinder while using canon 72-200mm

  Hello.
  I’m using a Canon 70-200mm f 2.8 IS USM lens on a Canon 5D MK II
  when I half press the shutter button the image in the viewfinder starts to shift from left to right and I hear a “knocking” sound from the lens. It is not the normal IS sound from the lens.
  This primarily happens in still picture mode and not movie / video mode
  Any one have any ideas?
