  eos 60d hiss

  brand new canon eos 60D, love the pix but…
  tried various mic & mixer options but continue to get a loud hiss over everything. I have a new rode svm direct to camera or through SD 303 mixer I get the hiss. With -10db switch I get the same hiss. With a sony lapel mic direct to camera I get the hiss. The camera mic doesn’t have this problem. Is this a known fault and I have to upgrade to a 7D or do I go back to canon?
