  Need to overlay images on set to line up for VFX

  Does anyone know if there is a way, through some kind of software, to shoot video with a DSLR, and then take a frame from it, and overlay it on top of your monitor feed, so you can accurately line things up.

  I’ve got some VFX shots that I need to shoot where I have to precisely line up different elements across several takes all from the same camera setup.

  I’m shooting on a 5D.

  Does anyone know of a way to do this?
