  Client / Boss Monitor

  Hello everyone! First time poster, long time lurker.
  Creative Cow has saved me so many times.

  Here is my dilemma.
  My boss said he wants a large monitor on set, ALWAYS. For him and the client to see without looking over my shoulder.
  I would imagine 12″-17″ would be sufficient.

  I want this to be easily transportable, and be able to be mounted onto a c-stand/light stand.

  It doesn’t need to be any crazy quality, we don’t need graphs or anything like that, just a way for them to view a TRUE picture.

  The last shoot I brought my HD TV from home and it cropped it bad and did not match color at all.

  Is there a relatively affordable solution to this?

  I found this on BnH, but I don’t really understand the battery or mount options. I also do not see any way to package/transport this.

  It should work without issues. It maxes out resolution at 1080 for display but I assume your camera downconverts the outputs through the HDMI connector. It will accept just about any power source. The battery mount shown is a standard V-Mount normally used on Sony cameras. I’m sure that it can be purchased with a Anton Bauer type side mount as well. Otherwise,, it accepts a standard 4-pin supply, available for $25-$30, or a standard co-axial power input. For mounting, just bolt it to a C-Stand and you’re ready to go. There should also be MANY choices out there for a carrying case. Check Porta Brace products. A larger computer bag would even work.
