There is no such thing as an “Intel Mac G5.” A G5 Mac is, by definition, a Power PC machine. The Apple Intel machines have a different name – MacBook, in the case of the laptops. Furthermore, the Pro line of Apple machines based on the Intel processors has not been introduced yet, so what you’re talking about doesn’t exist even under a different name.

You might want to check any system requirements on the Adobe page.
Regarding those new Macs, you might want to search the COW on “Intel” to see how people think AE will run on those machines.

AE 6.5 will run under Rosetta, the next major release of AE should be Universal…

I don’t understand the question. Apps for Mac OS X are all going Universal so they can run on Intel and PPC.

Don’t use AE in Rosetta, its not good (think sloooow), unless your doing very simple things…
In terms of why is there a universal version of Final Cut Studio, its because you going from PowerPC to X-86 architecture, and a universal binary will work on both.
At the moment not much is out for intel macs and if you are doing high end work don’t buy an intel yet, wait till the bugs are worked out.
