    Hi,
I’m not sure if this should go in the calf or cow,as I don’t know what classifies as “basic”, so I’m posting it in both:

I’m making a screen with lots of arrows falling, the thing I want to know is: is there a quick way to do this with multiple objects.

I have done it previously by making about 10 different objects, then copied and pasted them, moving them along the timeline, and then I fiddle around with moving the keyframes to make them look less like they are all the same. Is there an expression to make this any easier? I haven’t used expressions before, but I’m obvioulsy trying to learn. or is there some other magic that AE 6.5 can work, or do I have just a painstakingly boring day ahead of me?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Cheers!
    Martin.

there’s a fabulous plug in called trapcode which would solve your problem. it’s a particle system (works in 3d space) and you just feed one arrow into it, and it will spit out many arrows. you can then, by clicking a button, animate/change all its properties like speed of falling, whether it hits stuff at the bottom etc…
