I know this will sound like a retarded question…but I created a composition and added text and then figured I needed to change the color of the background but I can’t figure out where to change the color of the background. I’ve tried some things but nothing seems to work. Yes i’m new to the program ;o Thanks.

Usually it’s better to create another layer and use that as a background layer. Then if you need to change colors, you can use the layer settings.

To change the background color of the comp is in your comp menu or -shift-command-b

    Good Luck,

If you want to create a new layer for the background, you’ll want to “create a new solid.” You’ll get to pick a colour. If you want to change it later, it’s under the layer menu, I think as “layer properties” or “solid properties.”
