I have a Konova K3 slider that I’m using on a Monfrotto MVT502AM Tripod with a Monfrotto MVH502A Head. I use this tripod / head combo due to it’s light weight and portability. I attach the Konova K3 on a quick release plate to the head. On the slider, I attach a Monfrotto 701 head and then mount a Canon 6D.

The problem I’m getting is that the slider shifts when I go from one end to the other. It’s tough to get a smooth slide without bracing one of the ends of the slider with a light stand or second tripod.

I’m trying to stay mobile and lightweight. I don’t want to use a second tripod or light stand when I have limited time to get the shot, or am on an urban shoot and need to carry my equipment through the streets as a one man band.

Any suggestions for a sturdier, lightweight, mobile tripod? I’m thinking of a tripod with a screw mount for the head.

    Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks.
