My 5D files are playing as a green screen with no sound on my computer. Hard drive malfunctioned.
I recently had a hard drive malfunction. I have a company restoring the drive. They have recovered .jpg’s fine and found the .mov’s, but they are playing back as a green image and no sound. They said the file info and size are accurate but they can’t get the videos to play properly.
Does anyone know what this could be? Has anyone been through this before? I accidentally partitioned and journaled the wrong hard drive. I’m desperate here.

Try a different recovery company. There are getting back the data but not in the right order. There’s a company in Spain that rocks on this- be back with a link as soon as I find it.

Interesting thanks. The drive is with another company who is trying to recover the files. So do you think this program will work for my specific problem?
